About Me

Describe Yourself:First, let me just say that I have been having difficulties receiving my alerts whenever someone comments. So, If you've commented recently and I haven't commented back... it's probably 'cause I missed it! Hmm, describe myself? Everything about me is subject to change without notice... I am a Gemini with Pisces rising lol, and that's about as constant as it gets. Current Outer Self: Long chesnut hair. Wow, it's down to about the middle of my back. I've been growing it for about two years. I'm pushing to get it as long as I can stand for a donation to Locks for Love. It has a lot more curl than I remember, but then I kept it mega-short for like 12 years lol. Anyway, I have hazel eyes, 5 foot 4; I'm probably in my Tinkerbell jammies and my Current Inner Self is probably thinking, "Uhhhh, how can I be typing with my eyes closed?!"

Political Affiliation:Registered Dem, but I think they are just two flavors of the same cr*p. We need to stop electing politicians! It used to be you promoted the guy you thought best for the job, and he probably did Not want it! We need someone perfectly content with their own life who is qualified for the position... and we need to throw out damn near every politician in office at the moment.

Thank you so much Quinn. I love to think about life and our connections this way myself which is one reason I wrote it. It is inspired by the works of several astronomers of whom Carl Sagan is one. He was a much loved hero of mine and I miss him so much. He died about 15 blocks from my home here in Seattle at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. What he did to bring science and astronomy to life for people not educated along those lines was a true gift.
Anyway so glad you like the article. Blessings, Isis

Hi Quinn,
Thanks for the very comprehensive answer to my question. Sounds like you've got a lot of inspiration going for you, right now. I was just mostly wondering where you got some of the 'Native' lore - if it was due to being native, and having these things taught to you, when you were growing up, by native relatives, perhaps?
I'm not totally sure, but I imagine it's a requirement, when you put together a book like this, to list all sources of info? (I do know the native community typically gets real upset, when people claim something is 'traditionally native', without showing the proper proof and/or credentials. So watch out for that!)
Being part Cherokee, some things were 'taught' to me, and some of the things you wrote about, did seem to be consistent with what I've personally been taught/learned. Which is why I was wondering what your sources of info were, on some things.

Thanks for inviting me to join all our relations. Seeing all things as part of one great family is something I first heard of through the Lakota Nation and the truth of it still takes my breath away every time I hear this phrase. It is a healing way to see the world and our place in it and I am happy to be part of a group so named and with like minded people who hold this healthy view of reality. Bright Blessings, Isis
